Frequently Asked Questions
Hours
My hours are Mon & Tues 10am-5pm and Wed & Thurs 9am-4pm
I do not check messages/email Friday-Sunday and after work hours. If you are having an emergency please call 911 or the King County Crisis Line: 206-461-3222
If you feel like you require more than 1x a week or late evening or weekend availability, I am happy to provide referrals.
Late Cancellation & No Show Fee
I have a 24 hour cancellation policy. If you cancel your session with less than 24 hours notice I charge the cash rate fee, which is not covered by insurance. Giving me 24 hours notice allows me to find someone else to fill that space. You can cancel your session via the client portal, email or leaving me a message.
I also have a 15 minute late policy. If you are more than 15 minutes late to your session, I consider this a no show. If you have 2 or more no shows/late cancels in a row, I will remove you from your recurring appointment so you don’t keep getting charged and we can figure out a time that works better.
In Person or Remote?
I am currently telehealth only and have no immediate plans to return to an office. I utilize a HIPPA compliant telehealth platform through the client portal called Simple Practice, when you schedule an appointment, you will get a link to your meeting. No need to remember a password, simply say send me a link and a link to your appointment will be emailed to you.
Please keep in mind that I can only see clients located in Washington state. You must also be in WA at the time of your appointment. If you call in from out of state/country I will have to consider this a late cancel.
Why do you not take insurance for couples therapy?
Insurance requires an “identified patient” and a diagnosis. With couples therapy, the relationship is the client not each individual person in the room. I believe it is unethical to assign a diagnosis to one person when the focus of counseling is not on that individual. Additionally this provides an added layer of confidentiality for the client(s).
What insurance do you take?
I am paneled with the following insurances although it is up to you to contact your insurance and check your benefits for mental health (INN/in-network). Make sure that your mental health benefits are not contracted out to a different insurance that I am not INN with. Each individual plan is different, some people have to meet their deductibles first and some don’t. If I am OON (out of network), you can ask your insurance what your out of network benefits are and I will provide you with a superbill (an itemized list of services) to submit to them at the end of the month. In addition if you are cash pay, you are able to ask for a Good Faith Estimate under the No Surprises Act which is an estimate of services.

I have a few low fee spots reserved that I prioritize for those who are under/not insured based on income. I prioritize folx who have traditionally had more barriers in accessing mental health care. The reduced fee is a cash rate:
Individual $90-$145 for 50 min
Couples: $130-$150 for 50 min
