Individual Therapy

Whether this is your first time in counseling or you’ve been going for many years, I work to co-create a space where you get to decide how to fill it. I will help you process and understand what is happening and at times offer feedback and ideas to help you navigate what’s going on. I work best with those who are curious about themselves and others and motivated to try new things. I love to examine and challenge the narratives we grew up with to create a more positive understanding of ourselves. I utilize a blend of attachment focused therapy, Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and trauma informed therapy. I work from a feminist and anti-oppression lens.

Couples & Relationship Therapy

Every relationship takes work, and sometimes knowing where to start can feel overwhelming. While no relationship is perfect, maybe you feel like you’re speaking different languages, having the same fight over and over, or are struggling with intimacy. Unresolved trauma can surface and make it difficult to connect. Or maybe you want to build on the strengths you already have in your relationship. Using a blend of Emotion Focused Therapy and Gottman Method Couples Therapy, I will help you and your partner(s) explore ways to connect, create shared meaning and have more effective ways to communicate and build a healthier relationship.

I find that couples therapy is most effective when done preventatively and in tandem with individual counseling. Therefore, I often recommend couples have their own individual therapists as a part of the process.

Rates & Insurance

I am currently paneled with Aetna, Premera & Cigna. I do not accept insurance for couples counseling. If you are out of network (OON), check with your insurance for OON benefits & you can ask for a superbill to submit to your insurance for partial reimbursement.

Current Rates:

  • Individual (50 min): $180

  • Individual Intake (50 min): $200

  • Couples: (50 min): $200

  • Couples Intake (Includes one 50 min session and two 30 min individual sessions): $250

  • Reduced Fee (cash rate only): $90-140. I have a limited number of reduced fee spots available. These spots are prioritized for marginalized communities who may have more challenges accessing services and for those without insurance. As of January 2025, these spots are currently filled.

  • Letter Writing/Consultation/Additional paperwork: $54 for 15 min. Prorated off of cash rate, billed in 15 min increments

  • Late Cancellation/No-show/more than 15 min late Fee: The cash rate of your session which is $180 for individual, $200 for couples. The fee is based off the rate I bill to insurance and does not always reflect the rate you see from your insurance as no shows/cancellations are not covered services and there is no insurance reimbursement for them.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • My hours are Mon & Tues 10am-5pm and Wed & Thurs 9am-4pm

I do not check messages/email Friday-Sunday. If you are having an emergency please call 911 or the King County Crisis Line: 206-461-322

If you feel like you require more than 1x a week or late evening or weekend availability, I am happy to provide referrals.

  • I have a 24 hour cancellation policy. If you cancel your session with less than 24 hours notice I charge the full cash session fee, which is not covered by insurance. This fee is $180 for individuals and $200 for couples. Giving me 24 hours notice allows me to find someone else to fill that space. You can cancel your session via the client portal, email or leaving me a message. My policy changes to 48 hours in November and December to better accommodate high demand during the holidays and getting people off the wa

I also have a 15 minute late policy. If you are more than 15 minutes late to your session, I consider this a no show. If you have 2 or more no shows/late cancels in a row, I will remove you from your recurring appointment so you don’t keep getting charged and we can figure out a time that works better.

  • I am currently telehealth only and have no immediate plans to return to an office. I utilize a HIPPA compliant telehealth platform through the client portal called Simple Practice, when you schedule an appointment, you will get a link to your meeting. No need to remember a password, simply say send me a link and a link to your appointment will be emailed to you.

Please keep in mind that I can only see clients located in Washington state. You must also be in WA at the time of your appointment.

  • Insurance requires an “identified patient” and a diagnosis. With couples therapy, the relationship is the client not each individual person in the room. I believe it is unethical to assign a diagnosis to one person when the focus of counseling is not on that individual. Additionally this provides an added layer of confidentiality for the client(s).

  • I am paneled with the following insurances although it is up to you to contact your insurance and check your benefits for mental health (INN/in-network). Make sure that your mental health benefits are not contracted out to a different insurance that I am not INN with. Each individual plan is different, some people have to meet their deductibles first and some don’t. If I am OON (out of network), you can ask your insurance what your out of network benefits are and I will provide you with a superbill (an itemized list of services) to submit to them at the end of the month. In addition if you are cash pay, you are able to ask for a Good Faith Estimate under the No Surprises Act which is an estimate of services.

    • Premera

    • Aetna

    • Cigna

  • I have a few low fee spots reserved that I prioritize for those who are under/not insured based on income. I prioritize folx who have traditionally had more barriers in accessing mental health care. The sliding scale is a cash rate:

    • Individual $90-$120 for 50 min

    • Couples: $130-$150 for 50 min
